Philippine Engineers and Scientists Organization (PESO) Celebrates 48th Anniversary
The Philippine Engineers and Scientists Organization (PESO) is celebrating its 48th Anniversary and Induction of 2021-2023 Officers with a virtual gathering to be held on November 13, 2021, at 6:00 PM EDT. This year’s program with a theme “Working together as a team, overcoming the challenges of the pandemic” will not only commemorate PESO’s legacy of bringing together Filipino engineers and scientists in the Midwest, but we will also look ahead to the upcoming programs and projects amidst the challenges of the pandemic.
President-elect Dr. Evelyn Natividad will be the host and Vice President (2nd) Cynthia Garcia-Eidell will co-host the virtual program, which honors PESO Past President Edith Ardiente as the inspirational guest speaker. This event will also raise funds for PESO’s scholarships and training programs through a souvenir program. Current President Nell Frias shared, “We are thrilled to be celebrating PESO’s 48 years of work in connecting and supporting Filipino scientists and engineers in Chicago and in the Midwest. We are also proud of helping young Filipinos reach their full potential in the STEM fields through our scholarships. I hope you can partner with us in this cause.”
