One for Rizal concert features West End, London’s Miss Saigon, August 14th

Advocates for Rizal Center celebrate solidarity with the community in a Concert

The One for Rizal concert is an activity that will gather advocates for Rizal Center to listen to a concert, dance together with the community, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres while raising consciousness about the Rizal Center and the money for legal defense fund.

One For Rizal concert presents Miss Saigon, West End, London performer Fil-Am rising star Irene Alano Rhodes on Sunday, August 14th at Chevy Chase Country Club, 1000 N. Milwaukee Ave. Wheeling, IL. Doors open at 2:00 PM and the program starts at 2:30 PM.  Attire is semi-formal/Filipiniana. Irene is a proud mum to two wonderful boys, Louis and Luke.

Her career began in 1995 when she joined the London production of Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane where she played the role of Gigi and later on took part in the 25th-anniversary gala. Her other credits include Jesus Christ Superstar UK tour and film version as understudy Mary Magdalene; The King and I at the London Palladium and UK tour as understudy Lady Thiang and Tuptim; Avenue Q at the Gielgud and Wyndham theaters as understudy Christmas Eve; Love Beyond at Wembley Arena, the ITV production of the Sound of Music; and a finalist in the VOICE UK 2016. She currently stars as “Suds” in the brand new Netflix comedy series called “Hard Cell” headed by Britain’s queen of comedy, Catherine Tate.

Irene continues to do her own concerts in the UK and abroad and tours with West End has Faith. She is grateful for every blessing that God has so graciously given to her over the years and gives Him all the glory.
