About Fidelis Carino Herrera-Lim
Fidelis "Fides" Herrera-Lim is a member of an indigenous tribe of Baguio City (the Ibaloi tribe). She has worked in the Philippine Senate, the World Bank and private companies for the past 25 years. As wife to a Philippine diplomat, she has lived in Washington, D.C., London, Chicago, Los Angeles and at present posted at Copenhagen, Denmark. She has also interacted with global leaders, celebrities and royalties and has been part of international philanthropic activities.
Prior to leaving Denmark, Fides was the CSR Coordinator of Gourmet Farms, a pioneering organic farm in the Philippines and premium roaster of coffee. She had previously worked with the Philippine Senate (1987-91) Lived in the US (1991-1998 and 2010-16) and United Kingdom (2000-08). Worked for the World Bank (1992-2000) in Washington DC and Manila. Also worked for financial intermediaries and medical institutions in London. Took on leadership role for charities in Chicago and Los Angeles which promoted ASEAN cultures and assisted other organizations involved in helping abused women and children.
She is currently the President of the Ambassadors Spouses Group in Denmark.
Studied in St. Benilde College, De La Salle University (1986-90) and Birbeck College, University College London (2002-06).
She believes that CSR ought to focus on “how business make their profits” (not at the expense of laborers farmers, government or the environment) and “not what they do with their profits.”
She is trying to pilot a crowd-sourced financing of farm projects for coffee farmers in Benguet utilizing her friends and networks outside the Philippines.
